Steven Damerville, Program Manager

Steven has been working with youth for about 11 years, joining this ministry in 2015. His passion for working with youth is deep rooted  for a couple of reasons. First, is that the scripture tells us God is the father of the fatherless. Second, he knows this to be true first hand because his dad wasn’t around when he was growing up and this resulted in a lot of brokeness. He came to know the Lord as his father, which allowed his healing to begin, as well as continue and showed him how to be a father to his own children. As a result, his love for his own children is something that he never experienced growing up in the natural. He now has a desire to show those who have been abandoned, rejected, and abused the Fathers love for them. He believes that it is truly what we all need and it is the thing that causes us to thrive. His goal is to see love pour out, to see chains broken as well as freedom and acceptance realized.

Charlie Bufford, Operations Coordinator
Charlie Bufford has been with this ministry since it first opened its doors in November of 2015. The opportunity was an answer to prayer after six years of working a summer camp for youth in the foster care system and seeing year after year the extreme brokenness which created a longing to continue to serve and love these young people. Prior to working with The Source, Charlie has worked with youth for over fifteen years, in various avenues; including working in a special education classroom, one on one mentor situations, among other things.   Charlie has a heart and passion for working with hardened youth because he once was one of the hard kids that was expected to fail and he knows that no one is too far gone and that there is hope for even the greatest lost and broken person. In 2012, he married Carolina and God commissioned them to Spokane while living in Hawaii, with the assignment of practically loving and serving the broken.
