The Source Malawi

During an outreach trip to Lilongwe Malawi, The Source founder Chris Knowlton developed a friendship with Pastor John Ng’oma. What initially began as a church build project became a partnership between John’s team and The Source Spokane. With a goal was to develop a community of family style orphan homes which could not only rescue orphans but pull family groups out of poverty, The Source Malawi was established. The staff in Malawi are currently running 2 orphan homes, bringing supplies to remote villages, and feeding 150-200 kids multiple times a week through the feeding program. We have also funded new wells which are providing fresh water to multiple villages that were previously using dirty and diseased water sources.

The Source Malawi Land Development

Thanks to yout generous contributions, we have made so much progress this year with our Source Malawi Community Center! Maize was planted and harvested on the 4 acres we own, we were able to purchase a vehicle for our Malawi team, a well (called a borehole in Malawi) was drilled providing fresh water for the neighboring villages, and our first Youth home has been finished! We are currently building a secutiry wall, and are excited to begin the 2nd youth home. Down the road we will also have a community center building which will be used to host feeding programs, visiting mission teams, and educational efforts.

Make a donation.

The Source international has made a land purchase in Malawi for The Source Malawi Community Campus. Our plan is to build orphans homes and a community center on these 4acres. We will use it to provide resources and supplies to the villages nearby, and continue to spread the love and good news of the gospel from this strategic position. We would love for you to be part of this incredible opportunity. Just a little goes a long way in Lilongwe, Malawi.
